Overview
A modern vehicle is full of radios: Wi-Fi for passengers and over-the-air updates, GNSS for navigation, and vehicle-to-everything links for safety and traffic. Those radios work in an environment that is harsher than any consumer product, with wide temperature swings, vibration, electrical noise and a long service life. BeiLuo supplies the Skyworks RF components that automotive designers use to build that connectivity, as an authorized Skyworks distributor with FAE support for robust RF design.
Automotive Environmental Requirements
Automotive electronics must operate reliably across a wide temperature range and survive vibration and electrical noise, and the product must stay in production for many years. That means conservative part selection, wide-temperature components and layouts that tolerate noise. Solid grounding, careful decoupling and separation of the RF path from noisy power circuits are standard practice, and they matter more in a vehicle than in an office product. The RF lab at BeiLuo can characterize a design across temperature so the behaviour is known before the vehicle is built.
In-Vehicle Wi-Fi and Infotainment
In-vehicle Wi-Fi serves passengers and carries software updates, so it needs both throughput and reliability. Front-end modules bring the transmit and receive paths into one compact package, and switches route signals among antennas for coverage inside the cabin. The same integration that helps a home router also helps an automotive module, because it reduces the number of parts that must be qualified and tracked.
GNSS and Weak-Signal Reception
Navigation depends on GNSS signals that arrive extremely weak, often below the noise floor before processing. The low-noise amplifier at the front of the receiver is critical: a part such as the SKY65981-11, with a noise figure around 1.5 to 1.7 dB, lifts the signal enough to hold a fix in difficult conditions such as urban canyons. Pairing the LNA with a suitable filter keeps out-of-band interference away from the sensitive front end.
Coexistence in the Vehicle
A vehicle runs several radios at once, so their bands must be separated to avoid interference. Filters such as the SKY33106-360LF keep the 2.4 GHz band clean, and high-linearity switches keep the routing distortion low. As vehicle-to-everything radios add more bands, this coexistence work becomes more important, not less.
Why BeiLuo
We hold mainstream Skyworks parts in regional stock, plan long-term availability against automotive program timelines, and ship with import, origin and RoHS documentation. Our FAE team supports part selection, coexistence planning and thermal review across the product life.
Validating in the Vehicle Environment
Because a vehicle is a hostile RF environment, validation matters more than in consumer products. Measure the radio across the temperature range, with the engine and other electronics running, and confirm that the coexistence margins hold when several radios are active at once. Test the antenna installation as it will be in the vehicle, because body panels and metal nearby change the antenna impedance and the radiation pattern. Catching these effects before the vehicle is built is far cheaper than correcting them afterward.
Next Steps
Send your radio functions, environment and program timeline and we will propose a component set, confirm availability, and supply samples for validation.
